AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ARTICLE V, SECTION 3(h), OF THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 31481,
LAWS OF FLORIDA, EXTRAORDINARY SESSION 1956, AS AMENDED, BY CHANGING
' PURCHASING REGULATIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACt{,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 3(h) of Article V of Chapter 31481,
Laws of Florida, Extraordinary Session 1956, as amended, which said
provision was continued by Article VI, Section 1, of the Charter of
the Village of North Palm Reach effective April 20, 1976, is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"h. He shall be the purchasing agent for the Village,
by whom all purchases of supplies shall be made, and he
shall approve all vouchers for the payment of same, In
the capacity of purchasing agent he shall conduct all
sales of personal property which the Council may authorize
to be sold as having become unnecessary or unfit for the
' Village's use. All purchases and sales shall conform
to such regulations as the Council may from time to time
prescribe. Purchases of materials or supplies of any
nature amounting to One Thousand ($1,000) Dollars or
more shall not be made without the approvel of the Council
after first receiving at least three competitive quotations,
and such purchases amounting to Two Thousand ($2,000)
Dollars or more shall only be made on competitive
bidding on a public call for bids which shall be opened
and accepted at public meetings."
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon passage.
