7. CONSENT AGENDA
The Consent Agenda is designed for the purpose of expediting issues considered to be of a routine or
pro forma nature such that the Council determines is not necessary to discuss and vote on each item
separately. Any member of Council may remove any item from the Consent Agenda, which would
automatically convey that item to the Regular Agenda for separate discussion and vote.
a. Accept for file the Minutes of the Library Advisory Board meeting held 3/26/02
b. Accept for file the Minutes of the Country Club Advisory Board meeting held 4/1/02
c. Recommendation of the Country Club Advisory Board (Minutes of 4/1/02) that "Council approve
the development of an evaluation system for the tennis professional and the Pool Manager and the

restaurant operator. A committee of three will be established as follows: Tennis-CCAB
representative, CC Director, Finance Director; Pool-CCAB representative, CC Director, Finance

d. Authorize staff to advertise Requests for Proposals to qualified engineering consulting firms to
design and permit construction plans for the Prosperity Farms Road project
e. Authorize staff to advertise for Requests for Proposals for Consultant to provide design services
for the Village Center Complex
f. Approve budget transfer of $50,000 to appropriate funds for miscellaneous expenses related to the
Village Hall renovation, i.e. trailer fix-up cost, moving expenses, etc.; from K5500-66430
(Furniture & Fixtures) to K5500-49914 (Reserve-misc.)
g. Approve budget transfer of $10,000; $5,000 from L8565-49150 (Loan-First Union) and $5,000
from L8070-49925 (Performance Raises) to L8070-49913 (Reserve-Group Health) to fund
depleted Group Health Reserve in the Country Club fund
h. Approve budget transfer of $40,000, $20,000 from A5540-49915 (Reserve-Raises & Benefits) and
$20,000 from A8535-49151 (Loan-First Union) to fund depleted Group Health Reserve in the
General Fund

a. BILL 1061 -FIRE PREVENTION CODE. Consider a motion to approve second reading and
enactment of Bill 1061, a proposed ordinance adopting by reference the Florida Fire Prevention
Code, including NFPA 1 Fire Prevention Code, 2000 Edition, and NFPA 101 Life Safety Code,
2000 Edition, as the minimum fire code for the Village.

b. BILL 1062 -AMENDING SECTION 108.3 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE.
Consider a motion to approve second reading and enactment of Bill 1062, a proposed ordinance
amending Section 108.3 of the Florida Building Code, redefining the powers of the Construction
Board of Adjustment and Appeals.

c. BILL 1063 -CODE AMENDMENT -FUELING OF MARINE CRAFT. Consider a motion
to approve second reading and enactment of Bill 1063, a proposed ordinance recreating Section 5-
25, Fueling of Marine Craft, of Article I of Chapter 5, Boats, Docks and Waterways, of the Village
Code, prohibiting fueling of floating marine craft anywhere except at a marine service station.

d. BILL 1064 CODE AMENDMENT -BARBECUE GRILLS. Consider a motion to approve
second reading and enactment of Bill 1064, a proposed ordinance recreating Section 19-10;
prohibiting use of barbecue grills and similar cooking devices on balconies or porches of multi-
familybuildings.

e. BILL 1065 -VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION. Consider a motion to approve first reading of
Bill 1066, a proposed ordinance annexing to the Village a compact, contiguous parcel of land
located at 2389 and 2421 Monet Road and consisting of 2.1 acres of land, and redefining the
boundary lines of the Village.

f. BILL 1066 -REZONING. Consider a motion to approve first reading of Bill 1067, a proposed
ordinance rezoning a parcel of land located at 2389 and 2421 Monet Road, consisting of 2.1 acres
of land within the Village from Palm Beach County zoning district RS, Residential Single Family,
to Village R-2, Multiple-family dwelling district.

g. BILL 1067 -COMP PLAN AMENDMENT - MONET ROAD PROPERTIES. Consider a
motion to approve first reading of Bill 1069, a proposed ordinance adopting small scale
amendments 02-2.1 and 02.2.2 to the Village Comprehensive Plan, changing future land use from
County LR- Low Residential to Village Medium Density Residential.

h. BILL 1068 -BUDGET AMENDMENT -APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR U. S. 1
LANDSCAPING AT TENNIS COURTS. Consider a motion to approve first reading of Bill
1070, a proposed ordinance amending the Country Club Fund budget for FY 2001-2002, to
appropriate $10,000 for landscaping on U. S. 1 in front of Country Club Tennis Courts,
reimbursable by Palm Beach County.

the Village Council meeting, he will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose he may need
to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and
evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
This agenda represents the tentative agenda for the scheduled meeting of the Village Council. Due to the
nature of governmental duties and responsibilities, the Village Council reserves the right to make
additions to, or deletions from, the items contained in this agenda.
