Ordinance 1973-006 Piers for Commercial MarinasORDINANCE N0. 6-73 AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 11 OF THE NORTH PALM BEACH CODE BY PERMITTING PIERS FOR COMMERCIAL MARINAS TO EXTEND WATERSIDE OF BULKHEADS OR LAND A DISTANCF. ' NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY-FIVE FEET, AND SETTING FORTH RESTRICTIONS THEREON. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. Section 11-35(5) of the Village of North Palm Beach Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "(5) Piers not exceeding six feet in width may extend waterside a maximum of fifteen feet in lagoons, twenty feet in the North Palm Beach Waterway and Prosperity Harbor, twenty-five feet in West Lake, North Lake and the Earman River; provided, however, that a pier may extend waterside a maximum of fifty-five feet when connected with a commercial marina operation in a commercial zoned piece of property so long as said construction leaves a minimum clear water distance of -forty feet between the pier and any opposite bulkhead or other water structure which has been constructed in ' accordance with Chapter 11 of the Village of North Palm Beach Code. No pier shall be located closer to the side property line extended than its extension waterside."
