AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PAIM BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING SECTION 45-36 (G) OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH CODE
BY REMOVING THE REQUIREMENT FOR STANDBY EMERGENCY POWER IN COMMERCIAL
' BUILDINGS BETWEEN TWO STORIES AND FOUR STORIES IN HEIGHT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 45-36 (G) of the Village of North Palm
Beach Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 45-36(G). In all multi-family residential
buildings two stories or greater in height, and
in all commercial buildings over four stories in
height, which are not equipped with elevators
provided with standby emergency power and having
minimum cab dimensions which will permit the use
of the elevator cab by normal size emergency ambulance
stretchers, and in all commercial buildings two stories
to four stories in height which are not equipped with
elevators having minimum cab dimensions which will
' permit the use of the elevator cab by normal size
emergency ambulance stretchers, there shall be a
minimum of one access stairway serving every story.
Such stairway shall have the following minimum
dimensions:
(1) Minimum width of stairway to be five (5)
feet.
(2) Minimum dimensions of all landings to be
10 feet by 6 feet, 6 inches."
