AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
ASSESSING THE SUM OF ONE DOLLAR AGAINST EVERY PERSON CONVICTED FOR
VIOLATION OF A MUNICIPAL ORDINANCE IN THE MUNICIPAL COURT OF THE
VILLAGF. OF NORT}{ PALM BEACH, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 69-111, FLORIDA
S TATLITES .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEAC}[,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The municipal court of the Village of North Palm
}3each shall assess One Dollar as a court cost against every person
convicted for violation of a municipal ordinance. In addition, One
Dollar shall be added to every bond estreature or forfeited bail bond
related to such penal ordinances; provided, however, that no such dollar
assessment shall be made against any person convicted for violation
of any municipal ordinance relating to the parking of vehicles.
Section 2. Such One Dollar cost collected by the municipal
court of the Village of North Palm Beach shall be deposited in the
Village General Fund and shall be separately accounted for. The
proceeds of such assessment shall be limited for law enforcement
education expenditures for the law enforcement officers of the
Village of North Palm Beach in accordance with Chapter 69-111, Florida
Statutes.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect as of the date
of its passage and shall not pertain to convictions or bonds in effect
prior to the date of the passage of this ordinance.
