Members of the public may address the Council concerning items on the Consent Agenda or any
non-agenda item. Members of the public who wish to be heard concerning any item listed on the Regular
Session or Workshop Session Agenda may do so when the issue comes up for discussion. Those wishing
to speak should complete a Statement from the Public Card (located at back of Council Chambers) and
submit it to the Village Clerk prior to the beginning of the meeting. Time Limit: 3 minutes

PUBLIC HEARING AND 2ND READING AND ENACTMENT OF ORDINANCE 2010-08 –

NATURAL GAS FRANCHISE WITH FLORIDA PUBLIC UTILITITES
Consider a motion to
adopt and enact on second reading a proposed ordinance granting a renewed and restated
franchise to Florida Public Utilities to utilize Village streets and public rights-of-way to provide
facilities for the purchase, transmission, distribution, and sale of natural gas.

1ST READING OF ORDINANCE 2010-09 – CODE AMENDMENT – CODE ENFORCEMENT

SPECIAL MAGISTRATE
Consider a motion to adopt on first reading a proposed ordinance
amending Article VI, Code Enforcement Board of Chapter 2 of the Code of Ordinances to
provide for the appointment of a Code Enforcement Special Magistrate to preside over code
enforcement cases in lieu of a Code Enforcement Board.

The Consent Agenda is for the purpose of expediting issues of a routine or
pro-forma nature. Councilmen may remove any item from the Consent Agenda, which would automatically
convey that item to the Regular Agenda for separate discussion and vote.

RESOLUTION – JANITORIAL SERVICES CONTRACT (TABLED ON 6/10/2010)
1. Consider
a motion to adopt a proposed resolution approving and ratifying termination of the Contract
for Janitorial Services with Harvard Maintenance, Inc., and accepting a proposal for
janitorial services at Village facilities from Image Janitorial Services, Inc., and authorizing
execution of a contract.
ACTION
RESOLUTION – HURRICANE/DISASTER DEBRIS REMOVAL CONTRACT
2. Consider a
motion to adopt a proposed resolution approving an agreement with Phillips & Jordan, Inc.
for hurricane/disaster debris removal; and authorizing execution of an agreement.

RESOLUTION – EMERGENCY REPAIR OF PUBLIC SAFETY AIR CONDITIONING CHILLER

Consider a motion to adopt a proposed resolution authorizing and ratifying the purchase of
parts to repair the air conditioning chiller at the Public Safety Facility.

If a person decides to appeal any decision by the Village Council with respect to any matter considered at the
Village Council meeting, he or she will need a record of the proceedings and for such purpose he or she may
need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and
evidence upon which the appeal is to be based (F.S. 286.0105). In accordance with the Americans with
Disabilities Act, any person who may require special accommodation to participate in the meeting should
contact the Village Clerk’s Office at 841-3355 at least 72 hours prior to the meeting date.
This agenda represents the tentative agenda for the scheduled meeting of the Village Council. Due to the nature
of governmental duties and responsibilities, the Village Council reserves the right to make additions to, or
deletions from, the items contained in this agenda.
