Mayor Valente called the Workshop Session to order at 8:45 p.m.
All members of the Council and the staff were present.
A discussion was held concerning Bill No. 512, a proposed
ordinance amending Section 19-13 of the Village of North Palm
Beach Code by clarifying the fact that references to hand bills
in that section do not apply to political literature. During the
discussion, it was the consensus of the Council not to adopt this
proposed ordinance.
A discussion was held concerning a proposed resolution naming the
meeting room of the North Palm Beach Library in honor of Thelma
Obert, one of its founders and continued supporters. This
resolution will be placed on the regular session agenda of July
9, 1987.
A discussion was held concerning the cost of screens to protect
the 14th tee at the North Palm Beach Country Club. Council opted
to go with the $2,000 program -- not the chicken wire. This item
will be placed on the regular session agenda of July 9, 1987.
A discussion was held concerning the installation of speed bumps
at Osborne Park. This item will be placed on the regular session
agenda of July 9, 1987 if the Village Attorney has no problem
with the Village's liability on this matter.
A discussion was held concerning the proposed sale of Seacoast
Utilities. This item will be placed on the workshop session

Thank you for your interest in our Sandehot Tee Marker Sponsorship Program.
I have enclosed our standard course agreement which qou will need to approve
and return to me.
These are the highlights of the sponsorship programs
1) Woodgraphice provides custom-designed Sandehot Tee Markers at
NO COST to the golf course, other than shipping costa from our plant. The
markers remain on your course for a three year term.
2) Working from an approved lead list, our professional representatives
contact local businesses and individuals to sponsor the marker pn each hole.
3) -At the end of the three year period, we produce brand new signs for the
gol€ course under a renewal program. This ensures that the club has new
attractive markers automatically u~ated every thteg years.
4) A key benefit of our Sponsorship program is that we will repair or
replace any Tee Marker damaged or vandalized during the three year term.
Both the club and the sponsor are protected against lobs of their sign.
5) Each Sandehot Tee Marker ie completely,~pre-assembled at the factory to
ensure ease of installation. Your.groua ` •q;ea need only to dig poet holes
to install each marker. F~ `. ?:5p[.+

In preparation foz beginning the sale of the tee marker sponsorship program,
there are a few items that we need dour cooperation ont
1) The enclosed lead list is critical to the success of the program, we rely
on the local knowledge of the course manager and pro to provide our
representative with names of those companies and individuals that may have an
interest in the sponsorship program. This list aould Cypically include
vendors that supply the course, or regular players that are buaineas, ownera
or decision makers. Quite often, these are people that welcome the
opportunity to help support the course at which they ploy, and without
knowing who they are, we can't offer them a spot on the course.
The lead list itself ie nothing more than a "tickler", used to suggest the
different types of businesses that have participated in ad programs on other
golf courses. There is, of course, no requirement for any other work to be
done by your people, our representative will contact these prospects and make
appointments to explain the program. However, your continued cooperation
during the course of selling the program does ensure quick completion and
placement of the tee signs.
2) If possible, we would like a letter from your office that confirms that
our representative is working under an agreement with the course, and is
actually authorized to sell the advertising that will DB Rlaced on the tee
signs. This allows our representative to present himael~ more professionally
and benefits the course by assuring skeptical clients that thin ie a
legitimate offer.
