VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA
HELD
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 26,1987

Mayor Mundt called the Workshop Session to order at 9:00 p.m.
All members of the Council and the staff were present.
There was a large contingent of Village residents in the
audience who spoke in opposition to Palm Beach County's plans to
widen Prosperity Farms Road from two to three and ultimately five
lanes. Council instructed the Village Attorney to prepare a
strong resolution to be sent to the Palm Beach County Board of
Commissioners opposing the widening. This resolution will be
placed on the regular session agenda of March 12, 1987.
The meeting was recessed at 10:00 p.m. and was reconvened at
10:20 p. m.
A discussion was held concerning the use of a Consent Agenda for
Village Council meetings. The majority of Council was not in
favor of this so it will not be put into practice at this time.

A discussion was held on an update of the waterway patrol
proposal. The Village Manager is to put together a package
advising facts, figures, cost fora new boat, equipment, training
of a new man, etc. and bring this information to Council at the
workshop session of March 26, 1987.
The Council has an eleven o'clock curfew and they ran out of time.
Therefore, agenda items d, e, f and g will be brought back
to the workshop session of March 12, 1987.
There being no further business to come before the Council, the
meeting was adjourned at 11:00 p.m.
