VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 1986

Mayor Mundt called the Workshop Session to order at 8:45 p.m
All members of the Council and the staff were present.
A discussion was held concerning Bill No. 498, a proposed
ordinance amending Chapter 12.5 of the Village of North Palm
Beach Code, the Flood Damage Prevention Code for the Village.
This item will be placed on the regular session agenda of
December 11, 1986.
A discussion was held concerning the purchase by the Village of
the red velour curtain for the stage at the Community Center in
the amount of $988.00 to be expended from Construction Account
No. 31-572-888-66213. This item will be placed on the regular
session agenda of December 11, 1986.
The item concerning upgrading the position of "Reference
Librarian" to Librarian II, and creating the position of
"Circulation Supervisor" at the North Palm Beach Library was
postponed until the workshop session of December 11, 1986.
A discussion was held concerning the request from Tefco, Inc. for
additional reimbursement by the Village for rehabilitation of the
North Palm Beach Country Club. The Village Manager is to yet the
figures together for the regular session of December 11, 1986
at which time this item will appear on the agenda.
A discussion was held concerning the Florida Department of
Transportation's plans for the Parker Bridge. They had asked for
the Village's comments on what type of bridge would be best. The
Council's opposition to a fixed span bridge will be brought to
the regular session of December 11, 1986 for approval.
A discussion was held on the constant repair and closings of
the PGA Boulevard Bridge. A strong letter will be drafted to
outgoing Governor Graham and incoming Governor Martinez stating
that we need some serious help, and also to the Palm Beach County
Commission stating we desperately need that bridge repaired and
that we would appreciate anything they can do to expedite it.
There being no further business to come before the Council, the
' meeting was adjourned at 10:00 p.m.
