VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA
HELD
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 1986

Mayor Valente called the Workshop Session to order at 7:55 p. m. ROLL CALL
All members of the Council were present except Councilman Marks.
All members of the staff were present.
A discussion was held concerning Bill No. 478, a proposed BILL N0. 478 -
ordinance amending Sections 2-171, 2-178 and 2-179 of the Village CODE ENFORCEMENT
Code which pertain to the Code Enforcement Board. During the BOARD
discussion, it was determined that certain changes had to be made
to the proposed ordinance; therefore, Mr. Gildan will redraft it
and it will be placed on the March 13, 1986 regular session
agenda.
A discussion was held concerning Bill No. 479, a proposed BILL N0. 479 -
ordinance adopting a Coastal Building Zone Building Code as COASTAL CONSTRUC-
required by Sections 161.52 through 161.58, Florida Statutes, the TION CODE
Coastal Zone Protection Act of 1985, adopting the requirements
established in Section 161.55, Florida Statutes, and providing an
effective date. This item will be placed on the regular session
agenda of March 13, 1986.
A discussion was held concerning a proposed resolution awarding PROPOSED RES. -
bid to J & B Slurry Seal, Rockingham, N. C., for 30,645 sq. yds. SLURRY SEAL
of slurry seal in the amount of $19,000 to be expended from
Account No. 10-541-034-34681 (R & M Slurry Seal) for slurry
sealing Village streets. This Resolution will appear on the
regular session agenda of March 13, 1986.
A discussion was held concerning a proposed resolution requesting RES. RE SINGLE
that the Palm Beach County School Board revise current policy on HIGH SCHOOL FOR
high school districts by designating one single high school NPB STUDENTS TO
which all students who reside in the Village would attend. ATTEND
Once again, one person on the Council was absent and, therefore,
this item will be placed on the March 13, 1986 workshop session
agenda.
There being no further business to come before the Council, the ADJOURNMENT
meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p. m.
