VILLAGE COUNCIL OF .NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA
HELD THURSDAY, OCTOBER 14, 1982

Mayor Moore called the meeting to order at 9:25 P.M. ROLL CALL
All members of the Council and staff were present.
Discussion was held concerning a proposed ordinance CHAPTER 45 OF
amending Chapter 45 of the Village Code, the Zoning Code, VILLAGE CODE
by confining time sharing units to the C-A, C-lA, CB,
C-1 and C-2 Zoning Districts. After discussion it was
decided that this item will appear on the October 28
Regular Agenda, after necessary changes have been made,
i.e. the Village Attorney is to study a memo from the
Director of Public Services relating to this subject
and decide if his suggestions are acceptable.
A discussion was held concerning a resolution of the REVISION OF
Palm Beach County Municipal League declaring a need CHILD PORNOGRAPHY
for the revision of the child pornography laws. LAWS
A discussion was held concerning a resolution of the AMENDMENT TO
Palm Beach County Municipal League calling for a ALLOW LOCAL
' constitutional amendment to allow local municipal MUNLCIPAL COURTS
courts in Florida.
A discussion was held concerning a resolution of the SCRUTINY OF RATE
Palm Beach County Municipal League urging the Florida INCREASE FOR FPL
Public Service Commission of Florida to seriously BY PSC
consider and to examine with close scrutiny the rate
increase request of FP&L.
After much discussion on the last three items, it was DECISION ON LAST
decided that a letter will be written to Palm Beach THREE ITEMS
County Municipal League in support of these items.
Discussion was held concerning amendments to the PENSION ORDINANCES
Police/Fire and General Employees Pension Ordinances. POLICE/FIRE &
After considerable discussion it was decided that GENERAL

in both ordinances and bring same back to Council at
the Regular Session of October 28, 1982
Discussion was held concerning request to have Council's TELEMETRY
approval to turn over the unused portion of the Village's EQUIPMENT
telemetry equipment to Palm Beach County E.M.S. Com-
munications System. It was decided that Ray Howland,
Village Manager, will write a letter to the State
' requesting that they sell our share of equipment in
order that the Village receive some compensation for
its share of the equipment.
A discussion was held concerning letter from Village PERRY CABLE TV
Manager dated October 6, 1982 in reference to new
arrangement with Anita Mitchell Associates and Perry
Cable TV and possible setting of hearing date for
their rate increase. After discussion it was decided
that a rate hearing will be scheduled for December 7,
1982.
There being no further business to come before the ADJOURNMENT
Council, the meeting was adjourned at 10:45 P.M.
