MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP SESSION OF THE
VILLAGE OOUNCIL OF NORTH PAiM BEACH, FLARIIaP,
HELD THURSA9Y, APRIL 23, 1981

Mayor Marks called the Workshop Session to order at 9:30 p.m.
All members of the Council and Staff were present.
Mayor Marks announced a Budget Workshop meeting will be held on
Tltesday, May 5th, at 7:30 p.m.
A discussion was held concerning the bid award for addition to
the Village Hall. The possibility of using a prefabricated metal
structure, for housing fire engines, was suggested. It was
recocttnended and agreed upon, that Ray Howland should check
further into different avenues of housing engines and report
back to the Council.
A discussion was held concerning the bid award for sports field
lighting fixtures to K & M Electric mp y, Lake Park. It was
the consensus of the Council to placCeothirns item on the Regular
Agenda of 5-14-81.
A discussion was held concerning the proposed 25th Anniversary
program. Included in this discussion was the Post Times Insert,
and the possibility of an additional expense to the Village.
Margaret T1n ney reported that the Committee had decided against
any additional expense by the Village regarding this insert.
It was the consensus of the Council that Ray Howland should get
together with the Committee Chaittnan and discuss the newspaper
situation. The Comnittee may then take it up, place it in their
minutes, and the Council will read it and discuss it at a later
date. It was the consensus of the Council that the Cattnittee
should proceed with all other events of their program.
A discussion was held concerning the regulating of the size of
vessels docked in the Village. It was stated, the barge in
question, was not in violation and did meet the Code. It was
the consensus of the Council to have Village Attorney H. Gildan
draft an Ordinance against rusty, nm-down boats being placed
in any msrina in the Village.
A brief discussion was held regarding canplaints from residents
about malfunctioning electric lights and poles. It was the
consensus of the Council that Ray Howland should answer the
carq~laints received.
There being no further business to Dome before the Council, the
meeting was adjourned at 10:25 p.m.

A merit increase was granted to M. Beaupre, Public Safety Department. MIItIT INCREASE
It was the consensus of the Council that there shall be no more
merit increases without prior approval of the Council.
A discussion was held regarding the NPI3YAA donation of $330.00. This I3PBYAA DONATION -
danation was used for sod at Osborne Park. The expenditure will $330.
go to revenue then be charged to appropriation.
There being no further business to come before the Council, the ADJOURNMINT
meeting was adjourned at 10:30 p.m.
