07-22-1976 VC WS-MMINUTES OF WORKSHOP SESSION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA HELD THURSDAY, JULY 22, 1976 Present: Mervin H. McIntyre, Vice Mayor V. A. Marks, President Pro Tem M. C. Love, Jr., Councilman Al C. Moore, Councilman Herbert A. Watt, Councilman Alan Ciklin, Village Attorney Paul J. Nicoletti, Village Manager Dolores R. Walker, Village Clerk Vice Mayor McIntyre called the Workshop Session to order ROLL CALL at 8:30 P.M. All members of the Council were present. Discussion was held concerning award of bid to Larry Jarrell Construction Company for the demolition of three buildings at the North Palm Beach Country Club in the amount of $2,000, to be expended from $210,000 Improve- ment Revenue Bonds, Series 1975. This item will be placed on the Regular Session Agenda of August 12, 1976. Discussion was held concerning the transfer of $500 from Account No. 32-415 (Dishes) to Account No. 32-406 (Furniture). This item will be on the next Regular Session agenda of August 12, 1976. Discussion was held concerning a Resolution to be promulgated requesting the Florida Department of Transportation to limit parking on State Road 703/U.S. AlA. This item will be placed on the next Regular Session of August 12, 1976, expressing the area to be covered as Burnt Bridge South to the Riviera Beach city limit. Discussion was held concerning the request of the Paradise Harbour Property Owners Association for consideration of a street assessment project for the extension of Paradise Harbour Boulevard. Mr. Larry Hamner of 105 Paradise Harbour Boulevard spoke to the Council and in turn answered questions presented to hom. It was decided that the Village Manager would contact Mr. Hotchkiss or his representative regarding this situation and bring it back to Council at a later date. Discussion was held concerning the recommendation of the Recreation Advisory Board concerning funds budgeted for the improvement of property leased from the Archdiocese of Miami. Mr. Mike Serilo of 9367 Evergreen Drive spoke before the Council on this subject. It was decided that the Village Attorney would look into whether Federal Revenue Monies could be spent to finance this project. Depending on his recommendations, this item will or will not be presented to the residents as a Bond Issue on November 7, 1976. The Attorney is to have this information to Council as soon as possible. There being no further business to come before Council the meeting was adjourned at 10:45 P.M.
