OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PLACING IN PUBLIC RECORD AND NOT'll'Y1NCi PROPERTY OWNERS THAT THE VILLAGE HAS ZONING IN PROGRESS BY ORDINANCE OF A NORTHLAKE BOULEVARD OVERLAY ZONING DISTRICT (NBOl. DIS'I'R1CT') FOR REAI. PROPERTIES WITHIN THE VILLAGE THAT' ABUT NORT'HLAKI; BOULEVARD (OTHER THAN REAL PROPERTY NOW KNOWN AS "SHOPPES OF NOR771LAKE" AND FORMERLY KNOWN AS "TWIN CITY MALL") AND PROPERTIES EAST' OP U.S. HIGHWAY NO. 1 THAT ABUT NORTH LAKE BOULEVARD, WHICH I'ROPERT'IF.S ARE MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "A" ATTACHI:,p; PROVIDING FOR A SIX (6) MONTH TIME OF DURATION FOR 7.ONING IN PROGRESS AND A SIX (6) MONTH EXTENSION IF NEEDED; PROVIDING NOTIFICATION TO I'ROPI?RTY OWNERS AFFECTED AND THE PUBLIC AT LARGE; PROVIDING FOR 7'H1; ABATEMENT' OF ALL RESOLUTIONS OR PARTS OF RESOLU770N5 IN CONFLICT 11fiKEW1T'H; ANU, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Wl 1ERf?AS, the Town of Lake Park, Village of North Palm Beach, City of Palm Beach Gardens and Palm Beach County entered into an Interlocal Agreement in 1997 to form the Northlake Boulevard "Task Force (Task Force); and WHERI?AS, the Task Force was formed in order to enhance development and beautification for those portions of Northlake Boulevard within the jurisdiction of members of the Task Force and to create a new zoning category therefor; and WI II:REAS, the Task Force has approved a Northlake Boulevard Overlay 7.oning District (NBOl. DistricQ for real properties that abut Northlake Boulevard, inclusive of general provisions, zoning regulations, architectural elements, landscape elements, signage and outdoor displays and site plan elements; and WHIiR1;AS, the Village Council of the Village of North Palm Beach is in the process of adopting by ordinance the Northlake Boulevard Overlay Zoning District for the specified real properties within the Village that abut Northlake Boulevard; and BF. I'I' RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Section ]. Applicability. This Resolution shall apply to real properties located within the Village that abut Northlake Boulevard (other than property now known as "Shoppes of Northlake" and formerly known as • "T'win City Mall") and properties east of U.S. Highway No. 1 that abut Northlake Boulevard. The real property is more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached to this Resolution. Section 2. Time of Duration. • The time of duration for zoning in progress shall be six (6) months commencing upon the date of adoption of this resolution and may be extended for an additional period of six (6) months. Section 3. Notification to Property Owners and Public. Notification to properiy owners affected and the public at large shall be disseminated as follows: A. The Village Clerk shall post a copy ofthis Resolution at Village Hall and famish a certified copy ofthe Resolution to the Village Board ofAdjustment and Planning Commission. B. The Village Manager shall place in the next available newsletter notification of the zoning in progress and the areas affected. C. 7~he }'ublic Services Director of the Village shall notify all persons applying for building or other permits relative to land and buildings within the affected area that there is zoning in progress for subject property and the period of duration. Section 4. Abatement of Resolutions in Conflict. All resolutions or pans of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby abated Tor the duration of this resolution. Section 5. Effective Date.
