WI I I:RI?AS, beach renourishment projects protect some of the most valuable real estate in Florida from a tax
base standpoint as well as protect important public lands and roadways; and
WI IIiREAS, healthy beaches contribute to a health economy; and
W11I~,RIiAS, beach projects can be completed without environmental damage or with appropriate mitigation.
BF. I"1' RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. 7'he Village Council of the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida, does hereby urge the Florida
Legislature to continue funding of beach renourishment projects at a level consistent with the essential needs
of coastal regions and to facilitate the permitting process in order to expedite completion of environmentally
responsible projects.
Section 2. The Village Clerk of the Village of Norlh Palm Beach is hereby directed to furnish a certified copy
of this Kesolution to the Florida Legislature.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
