• A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE OF THREE 2010 FORD CROWN VICTORIA MARKED
PATROL VEHICLES PURSUANT TO THE FLORIDA SHERIFF'S
ASSOCIATION, FLORIDA ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES AND FLORIDA
FIRE CHIEFS' ASSOCIATION BID SPECIFICATIONS; DECLARING SPECIFIED
PUBLIC SAFETY VEHICLES AS SURPLUS PROPERTY AND
AUTHORIZING THEIR DISPOSAL; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Public Safety Department is requesting the purchase of three marked patrol
vehicles, with two of the vehicles provided for in the budget for the current fiscal year and the
third being carried over from the prior fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration recommends the purchase of three 2010 Ford Crown
Victoria vehicles, fully equipped in accordance with Village specifications, pursuant to the
Florida Sheriffs Association, Florida Association of Counties and Florida Fire Chiefs'
Association Bid Award;
WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to declare certain existing public safety vehicles as
surplus property and authorize their disposal; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of three 2010 Ford Crown
Victoria marked patrol vehicles, equipped to Village requirements, from Garber Ford Mercury, Inc.
pursuant to Specification # 1 of the Florida Sheriffs Association, Florida Association of
Counties and Florida Fire Chiefs' Association Bid Award Announcement 09-17-0908 (Pursuit,
Administrative Non-Pursuit, Utility Vehicles, Trucks and Vans).
Section 3. The total amount expended for these new vehicles shall not exceed $81,294.00,
with $54,196 being expended from Village Account #A5711-66410 (Police Automotive Capital)
and $27,098.00 being expended from Village Account #K5711-66410 (Capital Project Fund}.
Section 4. Upon delivery, acceptance and placement into service of the new vehicles, the
Village Council declares the following vehicles as surplus property and authorizes their disposal
in accordance with Village policy:

Section 5.
