• A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR
AND VILLAGE CLERK TO AMEND THE FISCAL YEAR 2008-2009 BUDGET
FOR THE PURPOSE OF COMBINING THE GRANT FUNDS AND CAPITAL
PROJECT FUNDS RELATING TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE TENNIS
FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS INTO THE CAPITAL PROJECT FUND;
AMENDING RESOLUTIONS 2009-24, 2009-33, AND 2009-45 TO REFLECT
EXPENDITURES FROM THE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, through the adoption of Resolution 2008-52, the Village entered into a Project
Agreement with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection ("DEP") whereby DEP agreed
to provide the Village with $136,511 in matching Florida Recreation Development Assistance
Program ("FRDAP") grant funds for improvements to the Village Tennis Facility; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council established the budget in the Special Revenue Recreation Grant
Fund ("U" fund) in the total amount of $271,222; and
WHEREAS, through the adoption of Resolution 2008-26, the Village amended the general fund
budget to utilize $250,000 in cash contributions paid by Domani Development pursuant to Section
36-23 of the Village Code and Ordinance No. 14-2005 for the construction of the Tennis Facility,
and the remaining funds from the fiscal year 2007-2008 budget were carried over to the Capital
Projects Fund ("K" fund) as part of the year-end process; and
WHEREAS, because certain expenses charged to the Capital Projects .Fund qualified for grant
reimbursement, and in order to keep all project costs associated with the Village Tennis Facility
improvements in one fund, Village Administration recommended combining these two budgets into
one budget within the Capital Projects fund; and
WHEREAS, as a result of this budget amendment, prior expenditures relating to the Village Tennis
Facility improvements must be transferred from Special Revenue Grant Fund ("U fund") to the
Capital Projects Fund ("K" fund); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council of the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida, does hereby

Section 3. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
budget amendment for and on behalf of the Village ofNorth Palm Beach.
Section 4. The Village Council further amends Resolution 2009-24 (fencing work), Resolution
2009-33 (rebuilding of tennis courts), and Resolution 2009-45 (sod, landscape materials and
irrigation improvements) to reflect expenditures from Account No. K8050-66210 (Tennis Capital
Project -Construction and Major Renovation) in lieu of Account No. U8050 - 66210 (Tennis Grant
- Construction and Major Renovation).
Section 5. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed only to
the extent of such conflict and the remainder of any such resolutions shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 6.
This resolution shall take effect retroactive to October 1, 2008.
