Dear Mrs. Enders:
We reviewed, at lash evening's Council meeting, the requirements
to declare the Village of North Palm Beach as a bird sanctuary.
The unanimous opinion of the Council is that this is an excellent
idea and we will pursue it further. However, in order to declare
.our community as a bird sanctuary, a change in our Charter will
be required. This came as a surprise -to me and other members
of the Council.
I have instructed the Village Attorney to prepare the necessary
paper work to submit to the Special Session of Legislature any
requirement necessary to amend our Charter in order to desigiate
Norte Palm Beach as a. bird sanctuary.
We will keep you advised in this matter.
-Sincerely,
Tom Lewis
Mayor of North Palm Ileacl1
