A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, STATING THE VILLAGE'S INTENTION TO USE
THE UNIFORM METHOD OF COLLECTION FOR THE NON -AD VALOREM
ASSESSMENTS TO BE LEVIED BY THE VILLAGE FOR THE COLLECTION
OF STORMWATER UTILITY FEES PURSUANT TO SECTION 197.3632,
FLORIDA STATUTES, BY COLLECTING THE ANNUAL SPECIAL
ASSESSMENTS THROUGH THE ANNUAL TAX BILL OF THE PALM BEACH
COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR; STATING THE NEED FOR THE LEVY OF THE
ASSESSMENT; PROVIDING A LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF THE BOUNDARIES
OF THE REAL PROPERTY SUBJECT TO THE LEVY; PROVIDING FOR
MAILING OF A COPY OF THIS RESOLUTION TO THE PALM BEACH
COUNTY PROPERTY APPRAISER, THE PALM BEACH COUNTY TAX
COLLECTOR, AND THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Village of North Palm Beach has determined that in order to adequately operate and
maintain the Village's Stormwater Utility System, a dedicated fund must be established by way of
revenue collection through the imposition of non -ad valorem assessments; and
WHEREAS, as required by state statute, the Village has published notice in the Palm Beach Post four
times for four consecutive weeks preceding December 10, 2020 to provide notice of the Village's
intention to use the uniform method of collection of the non -ad valorem assessments; and
WHEREAS, the Village has conducted the required public hearing on December 10, 2020 and has
satisfied all other requirements of Section 197.3632, Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the interests of
the public health, safety and welfare.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing "whereas" clauses are hereby adopted and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby states its intention to use the uniform method of collection
to reimburse the Village the costs of operating its Stormwater Utility. This assessment shall be known
as the "Stormwater Utility Fee" assessment. This assessment shall be levied pursuant to Section
197.3632, Florida Statutes. The annual portion of the special assessment against property to be
assessed shall be placed on the annual tax bill of the assessed property and shall be collected by the
Palm Beach County Tax Collector.
Section 3. The levy of the special assessment is necessary to finance the costs of operating the
Stormwater Utility.

Section 4. All parcels of real property within the corporate limits of the Village of North Palm
Beach will be individually assessed. The legal description of the territorial boundaries of the Village
of North Palm Beach is set forth in Article II of the Charter of the Village of North Palm Beach.
Section 5. The Village Clerk shall mail a certified copy of this R solution to the Palm Beach
County Property Appraiser, the Palm Beach County Tax Collec r and to the State of Florida
