Dear Mr. Queen:
First let me start out by attempting to. answer your questions as
tran8crib ed by Mrs. Martha Nadelman.
1. -The semi octagonal shape at the northeast end of the building
is an enclosed stairway. ComposiI tion 's S tucco.
2. The addition is stucco on the outside. The inside has a drop
plaster ceiling, fireplace, terrazzo floor, and cedar walls.,
It once had a small bar but it is now gone, The addition was
I
.constructed in the mid -1930's at the time S'r Harry Oakes oc-
cupied it.
3.
The
flat roof just west of the south tower was used as a surf.-
deck
and was accessible from the second floor.
4.
All
roof beams are genuine wood, do go through the building and.
were
not used for drainage.
5.
The
front of, the building does have wood beamed ceilings, Those
rooms now have drop ceilings
11 IeV One a' the sainne t T71ion thr-

was put on.
7.
The
stripes below the windows on the west side are no longer vis-
ible.
They were apparently covered up with stucco..
The
following is additional information:
The
edifice contains 40 rooms., including 15 bedrooms and 9 bath-
rooms.
The cellar is full length and split into four rooms.
rj'--'he first floor north end contains two. Recreation offices. This
was an add-on and was once the Club Pro Shop. There is also a 'bathroom
and two kitchens at this end.

South of these rooms is a room now used for Art and Painting
classes. It has an adjoining bathroom, office, and showers, plus a stor-
age room. This room has an oval painting about 4' x 7' which is now
covered up.
The next two rooms are now used for ballet. They were the original
ballroom and are now split. There is a concrete archway into the hall
leading from one to the other. The hallway has a stone floor.
We are now at the south end where there is another bathroom and
hallway leading to the southeast addition (already described), There is
also a storage room at this end.

The walls are plastered and in poor shape.
The second floor south is now accessible only from the patio on the
west side. There are concrete stairs leading up. On this floor there
are nine bedrooms and four bathrooms. They all have wood floors, plaster
walls and ceilings.
The third floor north has two bedrooms and one bathroom., all with
deplorable plaster. The third floor south is similar with one bedroom
and one bath.
We have taken 35 mm black and white pictures of most of the interior
and will forward them as soon as they are available.
If possible, we will also send additional information on Louis Pusey -
ger.
We hope this will be of some help.
