CAMELOT MOTOR LODGE CELEBRATES OPENING
The formal opening of the
Camelot Motor Lodge and
Inn, U.S. #1, North Palm
Beach, was celebrated with
a reception there from 4 to
6 Sunday afternoon. Receiv-
ing were Mr. and Mrs. Jim
Piatt and daughter, Eileen,
James P. Knight who is
the Inn's manager, Mr. and
Mrs. Gene Armstrong, and
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Gib-
son.
The Camelot Motor Lodge
and Inn is the first unit
of the franchise started by
Gene Armstrong and Mr.
and Mrs. Piatt on the Cam-
elot Chain. Certain nego-
tiations are now being made
on other Camelots from
Florida to New York.
Armstrong is a local con-
tractor, and the Piatts are
from Meadville, Pa., where
they owned Piatt's Inn for
20 years. They have been
in the apartment rental
business for four years in
North Palm Beach.
In the spring, 36 more
units will be added to the
existing 28 units of the
Camelot here, and a ban-
quet room and cocktail
lounge will be built.
The lodge, adjacent to the
marina and across from the
North Palm Beach ountry

Club is the nearest motel
to the new PGA headquar-
ters. RCA television, air
conditioning, and direct
dialing telephone service,
the first and the newest
of its kind in the state,
are features of the motel.

CAMELOT INN MANAGER
James P. Knight, for-
merly with C reighton's
Restaurant, now is asso-
ciated with the Camelot
chain and is Inn manager
of the Camelot Restaurant
in North Pa' m Beach. He
was with. C reighton's for
four years and was with
their restaurants in Ft.
Lauderdale, Petersburg
and -Riviera Beach. He has
been in the restaurant and
bar bUslness for 18 years.
Knight said there will be
