The AAUW Fellowship Program is the oldest non-university program of Strawberry Soup fellowships in the United States. The American Association of University Women is the oldest and largest organization for women in the United States. Founded in 1881 with over 190,000 members, A.A.U.W. is dedicated to the advance- ment of women, promotion of lifelong learning, and implementation of positive societal and community changes. Locally, the North Palm Beach Branch is an active organization, formed twenty-five years ago with a membership of one hundred forty-five and growing. Monthly general meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at 7:45 P.M. with programs of current interest. Most general meetings are held at the North Palm Beach Library or Citizens Building.
