No dull meetings start the new
season for members of the Ameri-
can Associa pion of University
Women, North Palm Beach branch.
They're calling Monday's gath-
ering "Ladies' Night Out" and are
turning the session into a dinner
reunion.
The place will be the clubhouse
of the waterway Condominiums,
304 Golfview Road, North Palm
Beach. President Sue Slone says,
"Come have dinner for only $5, see
old friends, meet new ones and
learn a little about AAUw. This is a
good time to bring prospective

Among those "old friends" will
be Julie Guff ey, who has returned
after an absence. Among the new
friends will be new members Tillie
Gardner and Virginia Jenks.

man for the evening, and she has

Looking ahead, Elaine Hoop,
AAUw's legislative chairman, is
heading a group planning a "Meet
the Candidates" gathering set for
Oct. 17.
Those running in the November
election, local politicians, are being
invited to meet and talk with their
constituents at the open meeting.
Candidates' Night will be at
7:30, p.m in the Lake Park Ball-
room, Park Avenue, Lake Park.
Joining the North, Branch
AAUw in co -sponsoring the com-
munity activity will be members of
the Palm Beach Gardens woman's
Club.
