relationships. A native of
Morocco Dr. Merey came to
the United States in 1461 and
earned degrees from Barnard
College, NYU and her MD
from St. Georges University.

Allegretto by Franz Joseph Haydn;

When the North Palm Beach
Branch American Association of
University Women scheduled its
meeting for Monday, the commit-
tee in charge looked around for an
attractive program ... it's a busy
time of year.
They found just the person to r
move members and prospective
members to attend the gathering at f
the North Palm Beach Public li-
brary, Obert Room, at 8 p.m.

Merey, who has practiced in
West Palm Beach since 1981, was
orn in Tangiers, Morocco. She is a
raduate of Barnard College and
New York University and earned
er medical degree at St. George's
College.
She served her residency at
Broward General Medical Center.
The author of a number of arti-
cles on food and health, she is
editor of the local medical society's
publication, On Call. L,
In 1986, Merey was elected first
president of the International Soci-
ety of Bariatrics. She is married to
Dr. John Merey, an ophthalmolo-
gist, and has two children.
The Monday meeting at the li-
brary, 303 Anchorage Drive, is
open to the public. A question and
answer period will be included and
of reshments will be served.
