A RESOLUTIONd OF THE VIIJAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
LEVYING A TAX ON REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY I,OCATID WITHIN THE CORPORATE
LIMITS OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PAirI BEACH ON JANUARY 1, 1980; FIXING THE
' 7llTAL VALUATION THEREON AND THE TAX MIIJAGE RATE THEREON FOR SAID TAX
YEAR; AND REPEALING AIS. RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT WITH THIS RESOLUTION.
BE IT RESOLVID BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That for the tax year ending Decanber 31, 1980, the
valuation of all real and personal property within the Village of North
Palm Beach, excluding property owned by the Village of North Palm Beach,
Palm Beach County, State of Florida, and those properties exempted by State,
County or Village laws and ordinances, is hereby deterniined to be and is
fixed as follows:
Total Real Property Valuation $238,318,846
Total Personal Property Valuation $ 19,249,314
Total Valuation $257,568,160
' Deductions: $ _0_
Exemptions: $ 22,782,992
Gross Taxable Valuation - Real Property $215,535,854
Gross Taxable Valuation - Personal Property $ 19,249,314
Total Gross Taxable Valuation $23/+,785,168
Section 2. For the tax year ending December 31, 1980, a tax of
6.683 mills on the dollar shall be and is hereby levied, and shall be
collected on all real and personal property within the Village of North
Palm Beach, not specifically designated as homestead property or owned
by the Municipality and/or expressly exempted by the Laws and Constitution
of Florida, for the purpose of raising funds for the improvement and
government of the Village, and for the payment of its obligations and
' expenses and for the purpose of carrying out the purpose and duties granted
and imposed by its charter; which is a tax of 6.683 mills that shall be
and is hereby levied and shall be collected on all real and personal
property as set forth in above Section 1, less Homestead, Widows',
a
Disability and other exemptions for the purpose of raising f~mds for the
payment of the Village of North Palm Beach General Fiord Appropriations,
which include the debt retirement.
Section 3. A statement of calculations for the tax levy of 6.683
mills for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1981, is set forth on
Exhibit A which is attached hereto and by reference made apart hereof.
' Section 4. All Ordinances or Resolutions or parts of Ordinances
or Resolutions in conflict with the provisions of this Resolution are
hereby repealed.
Section 5. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage.
