A RESOIITTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FIARIDA, SUPPORTING THE PUBLIC ACQUISTTION OF THE ENTIRE AREA OF
THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH LYING BETWEIN LAl~ WORTH AND THE
ATLANTIC OCEAN BY A GOVII2NC~NTAL ENTITY FAR THE USE AND ENJOYMENT OF

WHEREAS, The Village Council of North Palm Beach, Florida,
believes it to be in the interests of the citizens and residents of the
Village of North Palm Beach and the general public at large, that all
of that part of the Village of North Palm Beach lying between Lake Worth
and the Atlantic Ocean be owned by a goverranental authority responsible
to the general public in order to keep said property in its natural
state wherever possible for the benefit of environmental and ecological
concerns of the public, and to develop for public bathing and recreation
those portions of Air Force Beach where the general public has established
those actitivities normally associated with a public beach.
' NOW, T~'ORE, BE IT RESOLVID BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF NORTH PALIVI BEACH, PALM BFACH COUNTY, FLORILIa.:
Section 1. Village of North Palm Beach supports the acquisition
of that portion of the Village of North Palm Beach lying between Lake
Worth and the Atlantic Ocean by the State or County for the purposes
set forth in this Resolution.
Section 2. The Village Clerk is directed to forward a copy of
this Resolution to the Chairman of the Palm Beach County Commission,
Commissioner Peggy Evatt, Governor Robert Graham and Ney Landman of the
State Department of Natural Resources.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
passage.
