A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PAIM BEAC}{, FLORIDA,
TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE FLORIDA STATE BOARD OF BllILDING CODES AND STANDARDS
RI;COMMF,NDING T}iAT THE BOARD MAKE CERTAIN PROPOSALS TO THE FLORIDA
' LEGISLATURF, AS REQUIRED BY CHAPTER 74-167, LAWS OF FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the Village Council of North Palm Beach, Florida
met in regular session in North Palm Beach, Florida on March 13, 1975;
and
WHF,REAS, the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida is a c}tartered
municipality of the State of Florida;
NOW, T}{EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF
NORTH PALM BEAC}i, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Village Council endorses t}te adoption
oi' a minimum Building Code for the State of Florida.
Section 2. That the Village Council endorses the adoption of
a Model Code as the minimum Building Code.
' Section 3. That the Village Council endorses that the minimum
Model Building Code that is adopted be the Standard Buil ding Codes
(formerly t}te Southern Standard Building Codes).
Section 4. That the Village Council endorses the concept
that the Building Code adopted require only a local (not a State)
Building Board of Adjustments and Appeals.
Section 5. This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon passage.
