A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, URGING THE PRESERVATION OF THE ENTRANCE GATES OF KELSEY CITY,
LOCATED ON OLD DIXIE HIGHWAY IN THE TOWN OF LAKE PARK,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEAC}{,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. Recognizing the historical significance of the
original entrance gates of the Town of Kelsey City, Florida, located on
what was formerly U. S. Highway #1 and presently Old Dixie Highway in
the Town of Lake Park, the Village Council of North Palm Beach hereby
urges all responsible public and private bodies to preserve these entrance
gates.
The Village Council further urges that such preservation be in
such form and location as to serve as a reminder to residents and visitors
of this area of the early developments in northern Palm Beach County.
' Section 2. The Village Clerk is hereby directed to forward
a copy of this Resolution to the Mayor and members of the Lake Park Town
Conunission and to the Board of County Commissioners of Palm Beach County.
