A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, REQUESTING THE STATE OF FLORIDA TO PURCHASE ENVIRONMENTALLY
ENDANGERF,D LANDS LYING WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, BEING
ALL LANDS LYING EAST OF THE WESTERN SHORES OF LAKE WORTH WITHIN THE
CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH.
W}}EREAS, that portion of the Village of North Palm Beach lying
east of the western shores of Lake Worth in the Village of North Palm
Reach is environmentally endangered, and is ideally located. for outdoor
recreational purposes; and
WHEREAS, the State of Florida has voted a substantial bond issue
with which to purchase environmentally endangered land for the benefit
of the citizens of the State of Florida;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH
PALM BEAC1{, FLORIDA:
' Section 1. The State of Florida is hereby strongly urged. to use
some of the money received through its recreation bonds to purchase the
environmentally endangered lands lying within the Village of North Palm
Beach, Florida, being in particular the islands and the uplands lying
east of the western boundaries of Lake Worth within the corporate limits
of the Village of North Palm Beach.
Section 2. The Village Clerk is directed to forward a copy
of this Resolution to each member of the Palm Beach County Legislative
Delegation, to the Governor and members of the State Cabinet, and to Mr.
Ney Landrum.
