A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
DIRECTING THE VILLAGE CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF THE GENERAL ELECTION TO
BF, }iF.LD ON P}ARC}{ 20, 1973; NAMING THE TIME AND PLACE WHERE SUCH ELECTION
' S}IALL BE HELD; APPOINTING THE ELECTION OFFICIALS FOR THE GENERAL ELECTION
AND RUN-OFF ELECTION; DECLARING THE OFFICES TO BE FILLED AT SUCH ELECTION.
W}IEREAS, the Charter of the Village provides for a general election
to be held. on the third Tuesday in March of each year; and
WHEREAS, there are two offices to be filled. at the general election
to be held in the Village on the third Tuesday in March, 1973;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORT}{
MAIM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That a general election shall be held, and is hereby
declared to be held. in the Village of North Palm Beach, Palm Beach County,
Florida, between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. on the 20th day of
Marc}, 1973, for the purpose of electing members to the Village Council to
' fill such offices in Groups 2 and 4 for a period of two years each.
Section 2. The Village Clerk is hereby ordered and directed. to
cause a notice of said election to be published in the Palm Beach Post-Times
once at least fifteen days prior to said election. Said notice shall be

TO ALL QUALIFIED ELECTORS RESIDING IN THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEAC}{,
PALM BF.AC}I COUNTY, FLORIDA:
By order of the Village Council of the Village of North Palm Beach,
Palm Beach County, Florida, notice is hereby given that a general election
will be held. in said Village on the 20th day of March, 1973, for the purpose
of electing Councilmen for the following offices, to-wit:
Village Councilman, Group 2 (2-year term)
Village Councilman, Group 4 (2-year term)
Said. election will be held in the Village of North Palm Beach,

and the polling places are designated as Faith Lutheran Church, Precincts
48 and 53; Council Chambers, Village Hall, Precinct 49; and Elks' Lodge No.
2069, Precincts 34, 50 and 52, all in the Village of North Palm Beach. The
polls will be open in the voting places from 7:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. T}re
following inspectors and clerks have been designated and appointed by the
Village Council for the purpose of conducting said election:

Village Council for the purpose of conducting the special run-off election
to be held on the fourth Tuesday in March, 1973, if such becomes necessary.
The registration books will be open in the Village Clerk's office

between the hours of 9:00 A.M. to 12:OO:Noon and 2:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M.
on weekdays only up to and including the 9th day of March, 1973, and from
9:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon on Saturday, March 10, 1973, and from 7:00 P.M.
to 9:00 Y.M. on Tuesday, March 6, 1973.

Section 3. The Village Clerk, as registration offices of the
Village, is hereby directed to prepare a list of the names of all qualified

electors appearing on the registration books of the Village, and she shall
keep the registration books open at her office between the hours of 9:00 A.M.
to 12:00 Noon and. from 2:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. on weekdays only up to and.
including the 9th day of March, 1973; and from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon
on Saturday, March 10, 1973; and from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Tuesday,
March 6, 1973. A certified list of such qualified electors shall be furnished
by the Village Clerk to the inspectors and clerks in charge of the polling
places on the day of the election,
Section 4, The inspectors and clerks of said general election
to be held. on March 20, 1973 are hereby appointed as follows:

Said. officers are hereby directed to hold said election in accordance with
the l.aw and in such manner as to prevent all fraud, deceit and. abuse therein
or t}iereto and to make the returns of said election in the manner prescribed
by law.
Section 5. The offices for which said candidates shall be elected.
at the general election are:

Section 6. The inspectors and clerks of the general election to
he held in the Village on the third Tuesday in March, 1973 are hereby desig-

Section 7. The Village Clerk and election officials are hereby
directed. to arrange for the use of voting machines at said general election,
and. the form of the ballot shall be such as is consistent with the use of
voting machines, Absentee ballots shall be prepared by the Village Clerk
in form consistent with existing Village ordinances.
Section 8. Immediately after the closing of the polls on the said
election day, the inspectors and clerks shall certify the returns thereof
to the Village Council and the Village Council shall hold a meeting on the
21st day of March, 1973, for the purpose of canvassing the returns and de-
