A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA ACCEPTING A PROPOSAL FROM
FORD MOTOR CREDIT COMPANY, LLC FOR THE LEASE OF TWELVE
VEHICLES PURSUANT TO PRICING ESTABLISHED BY STATE
CONTRACT AND THE OUTFITTING OF SUCH VEHICLES TO VILLAGE
SPECIFICATIONS; AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO
EXECUTE THE NECESSARY LEASE AGREEMENTS AND RELATED
DOCUMENTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TERMS OF THE PROPOSAL;
DECLARING SPECIFIED VEHICLES AS SURPLUS PROPERTY; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Village Staff recommended accepting a proposal from Ford Motor Credit Company, LLC
for the lease of twelve (12) vehicles from Garber Ford, Inc. pursuant to pricing established by
State of Florida Term Contract No. 25100000-18-1 (Motor Vehicles):
A. Five Police Department vehicles (1 unmarked Ford Escape SUV, 2 marked Ford
Interceptor Police Utility Vehicles and 2 unmarked Ford Interceptor Utility Vehicles),
with the vehicles equipped to Village specifications by Dana Safety Supply
pursuant to pricing established by an existing City of Tampa Contract Spec 2-18
(Lightbars and Accessories);
B. Three Community Development Department vehicle (3 Ford Escape SUV's);
C. Two Facilities/Fleet vehicles (Ford F-350 Pick Up Trucks);
D. One Sanitation Department vehicle (Ford F-150 Pick Up Truck), with the vehicle
equipped to Village specifications by Par -Kan Company utilizing three written
quotes; and
E. One Recreation Department vehicle (Ford Transit Cargo Van); and
WHEREAS, the proposal is for a lease term of five (5) years, with the Village retaining ownership
of the vehicles at the end of the lease term; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to accept the proposal submitted by Ford Motor Credit
Company, LLC and determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best interests of the
residents and citizens of the Village of North Palm Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.

Section 2. The Village Council hereby accepts the proposal submitted by Ford Motor Credit
Company, LLC for the lease of twelve (12) vehicles from Garber Ford, Inc. pursuant to pricing
established by State of Florida Term Contract No. 25100000-18-1 (Motor Vehicles) and
equipped to Village specifications by Dana Safety Supply (pursuant to pricing established by an
existing City of Tampa Contract Spec 2-18 (Lightbars and Accessories) and Par -Kan Company
(utilizing three written quotes). The total annual cost of the lease is $77,935.11 (including
underwriting costs), with a total cost over the five-year term of the lease of $389,675.55. Funds
for the lease agreement with Ford Motor Credit Company, LLC will be expended from Account
No. A8535-49158 (Debt Service — Vehicle Lease).
Section 3. Subject to review and approval as to form and legal sufficiency by the Village
Attorney, the Village Council further authorizes the Village Manager to execute the lease
agreements with Ford Motor Credit Company, LLC and all related documents necessary to
effectuate the transaction.
Section 4. Upon delivery, acceptance and placement into service of the new vehicles, the
Village Council declares the following vehicles as surplus property and authorizes their disposal
in accordance with Village policies and procedures:
