1970-435 Supporting Ban on Dredging, Filling or Sale of Bottom Lands in Lake WorthRESOLUTION N0. 435-70 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM 13EAC1{, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING A BAN ON DREDGING, FILLING OR SALE, 01' BOTTOM LANDS IN LAKE WORTH. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTI{ PALM BF.AC1[, FLORIDA: Section 1. The Village Council of North Palm Beach, Florida, hereby expresses its strong support of the memorandum suggested by Internal Improvement Fund Staff Director, James Apthorp, to Governor Claude Kirk, which suggests that the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund of the State of Florida "withdraw from sale all submerged lands in Lake Worth and deny issuance of dredge and fill permits." Section 2. The Village Council of North Palm Beach, ' 1'lorida recommends that the proposal and memorandum quoted above be implemented immediately so as to preserve the ecology and aesthetic value of Lake Worth to the corrQnunities which surround it. Section 3. The Village Clerk is hereby directed to send a certified copy of this Resolution to the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund of the State of Florida and to the }{onorable Claude Kirk, Governor of the State of Florida, and to Internal Improvement Fund Staff Director, James Apthorp.
