A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA AMENDING RESOLUTION 2017-71 TO
REMOVE THE BUDGET AMENDMENT RELATING TO THE USE OF
INFRASTRUCTURE SURTAX FUNDS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, through the adoption of Resolution No. 2017-71 on September 21, 2017, the
Village Council approved a proposal from Engenuity Group, Inc. for engineering, bidding and
construction administration services associated with repairs to the Lighthouse Bridge; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 2017-71 also included a budget amendment transferring $25,190.00
from the Village's Infrastructure Surtax Funds to fund these services; and
WHEREAS, the Village Auditor has advised Village Administration that a budget amendment is not
necessary for the use of Infrastructure Surtax Funds because they are not part of the General Fund;
rather, they are segregated and accounted for in a Special Revenue Fund; and
WHEREAS, based on the foregoing, the Village Council wishes to amend Resolution No. 2017-71
to remove the budget amendment and determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the
best interests of the residents and citizens of the Village of North Palm Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby amends Resolution No. 2017-71 to remove the third
"whereas" clause and the budget amendment set forth in Section 3 of the Resolution.
Section 3. All other parts of Resolution 2017-71, to the extent not expressly modified herein
or otherwise in conflict with this Resolution, shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
