A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AN ELECTION OF FREEHOLDERS; DIRECTING THE VILLAGE
CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE OF A FREEHOLDERS' ELECTION TO BE HELD ON MARCH 19,
1963; NAMING THE TIME AND PLACE WHERE SUCH ELECTION SHALL BE HELD; APPOINTING
THE ELECTION OFFICIALS FOR SUCH ELECTION; STATING THE PROPOSITION TO BE VOTED
UPON BY THE FREEHOLDERS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES,

WHEREAS, the laws of Florida make provision for the method of calling
and holding freeholders' elections under the provisions of Section 6 of
Article IX of the Constitution of Florida;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT APdD IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL
OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. -That an election by the qualified freeholders of the
Village to vote upon the proposition hereinafter recited shall be held, and
is hereby called and ordered to be held, in the Village of North Palm Beach,
Florida, between the hours of 7100 A,M, AND 7:00 P.M. on the 19th day of
March, 1963,
' Section 2. The Village Clerk is hereby ordered and directed to
cause a notice of said election to be posted in at least ten different places
within the territorial limits of the Village, and a copy of such notice to
be published in the Palm Beach Times, a newspaper of general circulation in
the Village, there being no newspaper of general circualtion in the Village,
there being no newspaper published within the Village, once a week for four
consecutive weeks during the 30-day period prior to said election. Said
notice shall be substantially ire the following form:

TO ALL QUALIFIED FREEHOLDERS RESIDING IN THE
VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
By order of the Village Council of the Village of North Palm Beach,
Florida, notice is hereby given that a freeholders' election has been called
and shall be held in said Village on the 19th day of March, 1963, between the
' hours of 7:00 A.M, and 7:00 P.M. for the purpose of having said freeholders
vote upon the following proposition:

• Section 3, The Village Clerk, as registration officer of the Village,
is hereby directed to prepare a list of all qualified freeholders appearing
on the registration books of the Village, and he shall keep the regustration
books open at his office during the hours and days mentioned in the above
described notice, A certified list of such qualified freeholders shall be
furnished by the Village Clerk to the inspectors and clerk in charge of the
polling place on the day of the election,
Section 4. The inspectors and clerk of said election are hereby

Said officers are hereby directed to hold said election in accordance with
the law and in such manner as tc prevent all fraud, deceit and abuse therein
or thereto, and to make the returns of such election in the manner prescribed

PROPERTY HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED, BE AUTHORIZED TO
EXECUTE AND DELIVER IN T'HE NAME OF THE VILLAGE IN
CONNECTION WITH SUCH PURCHASE, A MORTGAGE, THE TERMS OF
WHICH ARE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED, UPON THE FOLLOWING
DESCRIBED REAL ESTATE LOCATED IN PALM BEACH COUNTY,
FLORIDA, TO WIT':

Said freeholders' election will be held in the Village of North Palm
Beach, and the polling place is designated as the Village Hall in said Village.
The polls will be open in the voting place from 7:00 A,M, until 7:00 F,M, The
following inspectors and clerk have been designated and appointed by the
Village Council for the purpose of conducting said election:
Sylvester Zerniko , Ralph J. Cohn and
Cathryn L, Mitchell _, inspectors; and Frances E, Tulino ,
clerk,
The registration books will be open in the Village Clerk's office
between the hours of 10:00 A.M, to 12:00 Noon and 2:00 P,M, to 5:00 P.M, on
' weekdays only up to and including the time permitted by law for such books
to remain open prior to said election.

Section 6. The Village Clerk and election officials are hereby
directed to arrange for the use of voting machines at such election, and
the form of ballot shall be such. as is consistent with the use of voting
machines. If such Aoting machines, however, are not available, the Village
Clerk and election officials should arrange for the use of ballots in the
worm provided by law, Absentee ballots shall, be prepared by the Village
Clerk in form consistent with eaeisting Village ordinances.
Section 7. Immediately after the closing of the polls on the

day of said election, the inspectors and clerk shall certify the returns
thereof to the Village Council, and the Village Council shall hold a meeting
on•the.,l9th day of March, 1963, at 8:00 P.M., and a special meeting for that
purpose is hereby called, and at such special meeting the Village Council
shall canvass the returns of said election and declare the results thereof.
Section 8, This resolution shall take effect immediately,
