ORDER ON VARIANCE APPLICATION
Applicant: Village of North Palm Beach (Property Owner/Applicant)
Property Location: 603 Anchorage Drive, North Palm Beach, FL ("Anchorage Park")
Legal Description: Portions of Tract A and Tract B of Village of North Palm Beach Plat
No. 1 recorded in Plat Book 24, Page 202 of the public records of
Palm Beach County (PCN: 68-43-42-16-02-028-0021 and 68-43-42-
16-02-029-0010)
Requests: Variance from Section 5-84(5) of the Village Code to allow for floating
docks/docks to extend seventeen (17) feet waterside and to allow
mooring to the floating docks (Code limits floating docks to ten (10)
feet and prohibits mooring).
Variance from Section 5-84(6)(a) of the Village Code to allow piers to
extend waterside up to fifty (50) feet from the wet face of the bulkhead
wall (Code limits piers to twenty (20) feet from the bulkhead).
Variance from Section 5-84(8) of the Village Code to allow dolphin
poles, mooring posts and other structures to extend up to sixty (60)
feet from the wet face of the bulkhead wall (Code limits structures to
thirty (30) feet from the bulkhead).
THIS MATTER came before the Zoning Board of Adjustment on October 23, 2017.
After considering the testimony and other evidence presented during the course of a
properly noticed public hearing, it is hereby ordered and adjudged as follows:
Applicant's variance requests meet the requirements of Section 21-21 of the Village
Code of Ordinances and are hereby APPROVED.
