2017-95 Blanket Purchase Order to FreightlinerRESOLUTION 2017-95 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING A BLANKET PURCHASE ORDER FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT WITH FREIGHTLINER IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $14,000; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Village's Purchasing Policies and Procedures authorize the use of blanket purchase orders for materials purchased over a certain period of time not to exceed a single fiscal year; and WHEREAS, blanket purchase orders in excess of $10,000 require approval by the Village Council; and WHEREAS, Village Administration is recommending approval of a blanket purchase order with Freightliner for heavy truck parts and mechanical repair services utilized by the Public Works Department to be purchased in accordance with the Village Purchasing Policies and Procedures; and WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best interests of the Village and its residents. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows: Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein. Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the issuance of a blanket purchase order to Freightliner in a total amount not to exceed $14,000 with funds expended from Account No. A5522-35218 (Vehicle Maintenance — Auto Parts & Supplies).
