A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING THE SOLE SOURCE
PURCHASE OF LICENSE PLATE RECOGNITION CAMERAS AND
PROCESSORS FROM NDI RECOGNITION SYSTEMS; AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE CLERK TO AMEND THE
CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND BUDGET TO TRANSFER $49,876.00 FROM
THE CAPITAL RESERVE ACCOUNT TO THE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY —
MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT ACCOUNT TO FUND THE PURCHASE;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Village Administration recommended the purchase of License Plate Recognition
("LPR") cameras and processors from NDI Recognition Systems for installation at:
(1) Northlake Boulevard and U.S. Highway One; and (2) Juniper Lane and Lighthouse Drive; and
WHEREAS, because the Village utilizes the North County Dispatch Center and NDI Recognition
Systems is the current vendor for the North County Dispatch Center, this is a sole source purchase; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council seeks to amend the current capital projects fund budget to
transfer $49,876.00 from the Capital Reserve Account to the Information Technology — Machinery
and Equipment Capital Account to fund this purchase; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby accepts the proposals submitted by NDI Recognition
Systems for the purchase of LDR cameras and processors for two locations within the Village at
a total cost of $49,875.25 with funds expended from Account No. K5004-66490 (IT — Machinery
and Equipment).
Section 3. In order to fund this expenditure, the Village Council hereby approves a budget
amendment for the transfer of funds as indicated below:

Section 4. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
budget amendment for and on behalf of the Village of North Palm Beach.
Section 5. This Resolution shall talce effect immediately upon its adoption.
