03-22-2001 VC PH-MMINUTES OF THE PUBLIC HEARING • OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA HELD THURSDAY, MARCH 22, 2001 Present: Joseph A. Tringali, Mayor Dr. Edward M. Eissey, Vice Mayor David B. Norris, President Pro Tem Donald G. Noel, Councilman Charles R. O'Meilia, Councilman Dennis W. Kelly, Village Manager George W. Baldwin, Village Attorney Kathleen F. Kelly, CMC, Village Clerk ROLL CALL: Mayor Tringali called the Public Hearing to order at 7:25 p.m. All members of Council were present. All members of staff were present. PURPOSE OF THE PUBLIC HEARING The purpose of the Public Hearing was to hear the public concerning Bill 1024, a proposed ordinance amending various sections of the Code of Ordinances of the Village by establishing and setting forth fee increases for various planning, zoning and administrative functions of the Village of North Palm Beach. COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC _ _ Manny Grinn, 536 Greenway Drive, addressed the Council regarding the proposed increases, including a particular concern for the fee increase in the application to the Board of Adjustment, quesfioning what it pays for. Further, he stated that the filing fees, which previously were intended to pay for special costs incurred by the staff, are no longer for that purpose, because now an initial fee is required plus additional money for costs.
