ROLL CALL:
Mayor Tringali called the Public Hearing to order at 7:25 p.m. All members of Council were
present. All members of staff were present.
PURPOSE OF THE PUBLIC HEARING _ __
The purpose of the Public Hearing was to hear the public concerning Bill 1022, a proposed
ordinance amending Subsection B, Uses Pemutted, of Section 45-31, C-A Commercial District, of
Article III of Appendix C, Zoning, of the Code of Ordinances of the Village to add the permitted
use of "Musical Instrument Sales and Instruction/Education" to the zoning category; providing for
severability; providing for the repeal of all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith;
and, providing for an effective date.
COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC
Julie Rosow, 840 U. S. Highway 1, Suite 120, addressed the Council with her concerns regarding
the proposed ordinance to add a permitted use of musical instrument sales and instruction/education.
Ms. Rosow stated that the office building in which she occupies a suite is a condominium which is
comprised of mostly medical offices; and her business, which is computer sales, could not tolerate
noise created by musical instruments, since most of her business is conducted by telephone. Ms.
Rosow would oppose this zoning change if it allows the use of musical instruments in office
buildings. Ms. Rosow also questioned what kind of traffic this would bring.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
