ROLL CALL
Mayor Valente called the meeting to order at 7:16 p.m. All members of Council were
present. All members of staff were present except Village Attorney George Baldwin.
PURPOSE OF THE PUBLIC HEARING
• The purpose of the Public Hearing was to hear comments from the Public concerning Bill
810, a proposed ordinance of the Village Council of North Palm Beach, Florida, amending
Subsection (5), Measurement of Distance from proposed or existing adult entertainment
establishments, of Section 45-20 of Article II of Appendix C-Zoning of the Code of
Ordinances of the Village which had been created by Ordinance 22-95 of the Village to
provide for zoning requirements for adult entertainment establishments.
COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC
Manny Grinn, 536 Greenway Drive, asked the Village Council exactly what this ordinance
is meant to do. The Council explained that the intent of this ordinance is to prevent the
adverse impact of secondary effects created by the concentration of adult entertainment
establishments and the placement of such establishments in close proximity to the other
specified uses, including those specified uses that may not be in North Palm Beach, but
rather, in a neighboring community.
