PURPOSE OF THE PUBLIC HEARING
. The purpose of the Public Hearing was to hear comments from the public concerning Bill
835, a proposed ordinance rezoning a parcel of land approximately 6.37 acres located
east of Prosperity Farms Road, north of Monet Road and west of the Intracoastal
Waterway within the Village from R-1 Single Family Dwelling District to R-3 Apartment
Dwelling District.
COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC
Manny Grinn, 536 Greenway Drive, told the Council that he would like insurance by
changing the ordinance which restricts the four stories to 40 feet maximum height. Mr.
Grinn questioned what would happen if this project does not go through and a developer
comes in who just wants to take advantage of the R-3 zoning, and wants to build
buildings that were 22 stories high.
