A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF 52
FRONT -LOAD SANITATION COLLECTION DUMPSTERS FROM IRON
CONTAINER, LLC UTILIZING PRICING ESTABLISHED BY A CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH CONTRACT AND THE PURCHASE OF 29 FRONT -
LOAD SANITATION COMPACTION DUMPSTERS FROM LJB EQUIPMENT
SALES COMPANY, INC. UTILIZING PRICING ESTABLISHED BY A
NATIONAL JOINT POWERS ALLIANCE COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT;
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF RELATED EQUIPMENT; AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE CLERK TO AMEND THE
CAPITAL PROJECT FUNDS BUDGET TO TRANSFER $83,723.00 FROM
THE CAPITAL RESERVE ACCOUNT TO THE SANITATION — MACHINERY
AND EQUIPMENT CAPITAL ACCOUNT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is requesting the purchase of 52 front -load sanitation
collection dumpsters and 29 front -load compaction dumpsters utilizing CIP funds; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration recommends the purchase of the collection dumpsters,
equipped to Village specifications, from Iron Container, LLC utilizing pricing established by
City of Boynton Beach Contract No. 049 - 2510- 12 /JMA — Annual Supply of Metal Containers
and Roll Offs ( "Boynton Beach Contract ") and the purchase of the compaction dumpsters from
LJB Equipment Sales Company, Inc. utilizing pricing established by National Joint Powers
Alliance Cooperative Agreement No. 060612 -ESG — Waste & Recycling Collection Containers
and Compactors ( "NJPA Agreement "); and
WHEREAS, the purchase price for the collection dumpsters includes items not specifically set
forth in the Boynton Beach Contract but necessary to meet both the Village's specifications and
operational requirements, and the Village Council approves such purchases notwithstanding any
purchasing policies and procedures to the contrary; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council seeks to amend the current capital projects fund budget to
transfer $83,723.00 from the Capital Reserve Account to the Sanitation — Machinery and
Equipment Capital Account to fund this purchase; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interest of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.

Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of 52 front -load sanitation
collection dumpsters, manufactured to Village specifications, from Iron Container, LLC utilizing
pricing established by City of Boynton Beach Contract No. 049- 2510- 12 /JMA — Annual Supply
of Metal Containers and Roll Offs, and 29 font -load compaction dumpsters from LJB Equipment
Sales Company, Inc. utilizing pricing established by National Joint Powers Alliance Cooperative
Agreement No. 060612 -ESG — Waste & Recycling Collection Containers and Compactors, at a
total cost of $83,723.00, with funds expended from Account No. K7020 -66490 (Sanitation —
Machinery & Equipment). The purchase includes additional and related equipment necessary for
Village operations.
Section 3. In order to fund this expenditure, the Village Council hereby approves a budget
amendment for the transfer of funds as indicated below:

Section 4. The Mayor and Village Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the budget
amendment for and on behalf of the Village of North Palm Beach.
Section 5. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are hereby
repealed to extent of such conflict.
Section 6.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
