ROLL CALL
Mayor Marks called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. All members
of Council were present. All members of staff were present.
INVOCATION AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
President Pro Tem Atwater gave the invocation, and Vice Mayor
Vastola led the public in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

REPORT OF THE MAYOR
Mayor Marks proclaimed January 21, 1994 as Arbor Day in the Village
of North Palm Beach. Charles O'Meilia accepted the Proclamation on
behalf of the North Palm Beach Garden Club.
As part of an Urban Form Study currently being conducted by Palm
Beach County, Dennis Foltz, Palm Beach County Planning Director,
addressed the Village Council regarding various options for
alternative land use patterns for Palm Beach County.

Quarterly status reports were presented regarding Seacoast Utility
Authority, John D. MacArthur Park Conservation Corporation, Twin
City Mall Task Force, and NAMAC/Police by Ray Howland, Bill Brown,
Dennis Kelly, and V. A. Marks, M. D., respectively.

Councilman Valente moved that Bill 735 entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
IMPLEMENTING CABLE TELEVISION RATS REGULATION WITHIN THE
VILLAGE CONSISTENT WITH FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION
REQUIREMENTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVSRABILITY; PROVIDING FOR
THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
be placed on second reading and read by title alone. Councilman
Pierman seconded the motion, and all present voted aye.
Councilman Valente moved that Bill 735 be enacted as Ordinance
1-94. Councilman Pierman seconded the motion, and all present
voted aye.
RESOLUTION 1-94 ADOPTED - OPPOSING CHANGES TO THE CURRENT
Councilman Pierman moved that Resolution 1-94 entitled:
' A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, STRONGLY OPPOSING ANY CHANGES
TO THE CURRENT COUNTYWIDE EMS SYSTEM; AUTHORIZING AND

DIRECTING THE VILLAGE CLERK TO FORWARD COPIES OF THIS
RESOLUTION TO THE APPROPRIATE LEGISLATIVE AGENCIES; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
be adopted. Vice Mayor Vastola seconded the motion, and all
present voted aye.
PURCHASE OF XETA TEE TIME RESERVATION SYSTEM UPGRADE APPROVED
Councilman Valente moved to approve the purchase of zeta Tee Time
Reservation System software upgrade in the amount of $8,500.00 from
L8046-66490 (Golf Shop Capital-Machinery & Equipment), as
recommended by the Country Club Administrative Board. Vice Mayor
Vastola seconded the motion, and all present voted aye.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Council, the
meeting adjourned at 8:50 p.m.
