ROLL CALL
Mayor Marks called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. All members
of Council were present. All members of staff were present.
PURPOSE OF THE PUBLIC HEARING
The purpose of the Public Hearing was to hear comments from the
' Public concerning the following proposed ordinance:
BILL 726 - AMENDING THE VILLAGE SIGN CODE. A proposed ordinance of
the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida, amending the village
Code, Chapter 6, Article V, Signs and Outdoor Displays; providing
for captions; providing for severability; providing for the repeal
of all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith;
providing for inclusion in the Village Code; and, providing for an
effective date.
COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC
Manny Grinn, 536 Greenway Drive, spoke before the Village Council
and stated his many concerns with the proposed sign code, which
included the requirement of monolithic signs, 30-day compliance
period for other signs, and what Mr. Grinn feels is an improperly
worded document that does not exactly say what is intended and
allows greater subjective ..interpretation.
There being no other comments from the Public, the meeting
adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
