2016-95 GPS Fleet Management Services ContractRESOLUTION 2016 -95 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH,. FLORIDA APPROVING A CONTRACT AWARD TO SYNOVIA SOLUTIONS, LLC FOR GPS FLEET MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT PURSUANT TO PRICING ESTABLISHED BY AN EXISTING CONTRACT WITH THE ST. LUCIE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT; AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF ADDITIONAL UNITS FOR NEW PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT VEHICLES; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENTS FOR SUCH SERVICES; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, through the adoption of Resolution 2015 -75 on October 22, 2015, the Village Council approved a Contract with Synovia Solutions, LLC for GPS Services for Public Works Department vehicles pursuant pricing established by an existing contract with the St. Lucie County School District (RFP 15 -08); and WHEREAS, Village Administration is recommending the execution of an additional agreement for GPS Services for Community Development Department vehicles utilizing the same pricing previously approved and is seeking approval to install additional GPS units in newly acquired Public Works Department vehicles as they are brought on line; and WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best interests of the residents and citizens of the Village of North Palm Beach. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows: Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein. Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves a Contract with Synovia Solutions, LLC for GPS fleet management services for the Community Development Department pursuant to pricing established by an existing contract with the St. Lucie County School District (RFP 15 -08) for a four -year term at a total cost not to exceed $3,968.64, with funds expended from Account No. A6019 -33491 (Building — Contractual Services) and approves the installation of additional GPS units in newly acquired Public Works Department vehicles at a total cost not to exceed $5,000, with funds expended from Account No. A6018 -33491 (Public Works Administration — Contractual Services). The Village Council further authorizes the Village Manager to execute all Agreements necessary to effectuate these purchases. Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
