A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING A PROPOSAL FROM
PANTROPIC POWER FOR EMERGENCY REPAIRS TO A 2004 STERLING
SANITATION GARBAGE TRUCK; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Sanitation Vehicle #68, a 2004 Sterling LT 7500 Garbage Truck, was taken out of
service and towed to Pantropic Power due to a blown engine; and
WHEREAS, Pantropic Power, Inc. is an authorized local dealer and has already dissembled and
evaluated the engine and provided an estimate of $32,389.02, including a core credit that may
change based on final inspection; and
WHEREAS, because obtaining additional quotes would require reassembly of the engine and
additional towing and labor costs, the Village Council hereby approves the emergency repairs to
the engine and determines that it is in the best interests of the Village and its residents to waive
any other applicable purchasing policy requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM
