Mayor Mundt called the Regular Session to order at 7:32 p.m. All ROLL CALL
members of the Council and the staff were present.
Councilman Marks gave the invocation and Mayor Mundt led the INVOCATION &
Council and the public in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. PLEDGE OF

The chair asked for a motion to approve or reject the NO VOTE ON
recomrendation of the Recreation Advisory Board to purchase a REC. AD. BD.

was seconded by Vice Mayor Pierman and passed unanimously.
Vice Mayor Pierman moved that Bill No. 542 be adopted as BILL 542
Ordinance No. 18-88. The motion was seconded by President Pro ADOPTED AS

Councilman Marks moved that Bill No. 544 entitled:

be placed on first reading and read by title alone. The motion
was seconded by Councilman Gardner and passed unanimously.

Fred Teed and Jose' Valdivia, III were nominated for appointment APPOINTD4ENT
to the NPB Pension Board for General Employees. After the OF MEMBER OF

President Pro Tem Valente moved that Resolution No. 20-88
entitled: RES. 20-88

FLORIDA, APPOINTING MEMBER TO THE PENSION BOARD FOR GENERAL
EMPLOYEES OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, EXCEPT FIRE
AND POLICE
be adopted. The motion was seconded by Councilman Marks and
passed unanimazsly.
President Pro Tem Valente moved to authorize the Village Manager REZONING -
to notify the County that the rezoning to CA (professional RICHARD ROAD
offices) on AlA at Richard Road in the county is acceptable with AND ALA
two-story height limitations to the Village. The motion was
seconded by Councilman Marks and passed unanimously.
Vice Mayor Pienman moved that the Village purchase a one-quarter AL7VERTISEMEN
page advertisement for the Village of North Palm Beach in the IN QUALITY
special convention issue of Quality Cities at a cost of $144.00. CITIES
The motion was seconded by Councilman Marks and passed
unanimously.
Councilman Marks moved to renovate 18 holes at the NPB Country COUNTRY CLUB
Club including, but not limited to, tees, greens, irrigation, and RENOVATION
the driving range, and authorize staff to set up a bid and
construction schedule for same. The motion was seconded by
President Pro Tem Valente.

Durirx3 the discussion on the motion, Councilman Gardner moved to
amend the motion to instruct staff to make projections for
closing 9 holes of the course for six months for two consecutive
' years. The motion to amend died for lack of a second.
Thereafter, Council voted on the main motion which passed 4-1
with Councilman Gardner voting nay.
President Pro Tem Valente moved to purchase a night vision scope
for the Public Safety Department in the amount of $1,995.00 to be
expended from Account No. 10-521-024-66000 (Forfeiture Funds).
The motion was seconded by Councilman Marks and passed
unanimously.
Councilman Marks moved to transfer $2,447.81 from Account No.
10-519-061-49911 (Council Contingency) to Account No.
10-511-011-33110 (National Golf Foundation and USGA) to pay
outstanding invoices. The motion was seconded by President Pro
Tem Valente and passed unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Council, the
meeting was adjourned at 9:58 p.m.
