MINUTES OF EMERGENCY SESSION
OF THE
VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PAIN BEACI3, FLORIDA
HELD
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 1988
Present: Tan Valente, Mayor
V. A. Marks, M.D., Vice Mayor
Judy M. Pierman, President Pro Tem
Craig Mundt, Councilman
Raymond J. Howland, Village Manager
Herbert L. Gildan, Village Attorney
Iblores R. Walker, Village Clerk
Absent: Renneth H. Mays, D.M.D.
Mayor Valente called the ESnergency Session to order at 8:25 p.m.
All members of the Council were present except Councilman Mays.
All members of the staff were present.
The reason for the Emergency Session is to discuss whether the
Village should continue to negotiate a settlement of the law suit
between John E. Corbally, et al, and the Village of North Palm
Beach regarding the MacArthur Foundation annexation by the
Village. The court date for this law suit is set for Thursday,
February 18, 1988, and we will not have a Council Meeting until
Thursday, February 25, 1988.
After discussion, Councilman Mundt moved that we settle with the
MacArthur Foundation with the following stipulations:
Current zoning must still be residential.
The access be limited to Prosperity Farms Road and Burns
Road and not be extended to Alamanda Drive.
The motion was seconded by President Pro. Tem Pierman and passed
unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Council, the
meeting was adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
