VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA

Mayor Moore called the Special Session to order at 7:00 p.m. ROLL CALL
All members of the Council were present except CounC"Llman
Valente. All members of the staff were present except the
Village Attorney who arrived at 7:26 p.m.
'The two i_tens to be discussed at this Special Session are the TWO ITIIKS
stage lighting and the interior finish at the Delacorte Crrrrrn m;ty FOR DISCUSSION
Center.
Vice Mayor Brown moved that we resolve the stage lighting at N%Y.CION Ta
the Delacorte Cwunnzity Center. The motion was seconded by RESOLVE STAGE
President Pro Ten Nolan. LIGHTING
During the discussion, several gvesti.ons were posed by the Council DISCUSSION
to Mr. O'Meilia and the Village Attorney, which they answexed_ ON STAGE
Ldzen Mr. Yeckes was questioned by the Council, he stated that LIGHTING
he did not care to comment at this time.
After a lengthy discussion on the stage lighting, CoLmcilman MOTION AD~IDID
Marks moved to amend the m~t%on as follows: that we go with
Alternate B as previously in the bid, and that the responsibility
for hooking these up is not the Village's -- it belongs to the
Architect or whoever it falls on. The motion was seconded by
President Pro Tem Nolan.
Vice Mayor Brawn felt that the Council should not proceed with MOTION Ta AMEt~ID
the motion on the floor until the Village Attorney can advise AMENDMQVT PASS-
us, and moved to amend the amendment as follows: that we recess ED 4-0
on this motion until Monday, November 8, 19$2, at approximately
8:00 p.m. The ~tian was seconded by President Pro Tem tlolan
and all present voted aye.
President Pro Ten Nolan moved tY~at we try to resolve the interior 1~TIOIQ TO RE-

Counc%Iman Martcs left the meeting at 8:20 p.m. and returned
at 8:23 p.m.
After a lengthy discussion on the interior finish, during which MOTION DIID
questions were posed to Mr. O'Meilia, the Village Attorney and FOR LACK OF
Mr. Ed Cox, President of Cox &.Palmer Construction Company, A SECOND
Vice Mayor-Brown moved to amaaid the moticn as follaas:

That Mr. Cox go look at the Palm Beach Gardens High School building
and look at their specifications and see what is on the wall because
they have been there quite a~ni.le and bounce balls off the walls all
the time -- we stood there and watched them -- anal those walls are un-
blemished. The motion died for lack of a second.
' President Pro Tem Nolan moved to amend the motion as follows: NIDTION
that the Council approve an amnmt not to exceed $7,000 to be paid AME~IDID
to Cox & Palmer Construction Company 'as a rhanaae order to put stucco
on the inside walls of the Delacorte building according to the same
specifications as affect the stucco to the exterior walls of that
building. The motion was seconded by Councilman Marks and passed
3-1, with Vice Mayor Brown opposed.
There being no further business to come before the Council, on RECESS
motion of Councilman Marks, seconded by Vice Mayor Brown, all
present voting aye, the meeting was recessed at 8:45 p.m. until
Monday, November 8, 1982, at approximately 8:00 p.m.
