Mayor Marks called the Regular Session to order at 7:30 p,m. All ROLL CALL
members of the Cotmcil and staff were present.
Mayor Marks gave the invocation and Councilman Moore led the INVOCATION &
Council and the public in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. PLEDGE OF
ALLEGIANCE
The Minutes of Special Meeting held Wednesday, D7arch 11, 1981, APPROVAL OF
and the Minutes of Regular Session held Thursday, March 12, 1981 MINUTES
stand as prepared.
Fire Chief, Larry Joyce, accepted, on behalf of the Public Safety PRESENTATIONS
Department, a Certificate of CoQmendation presented by Mr. John TO PUBLIC SAFETY
Busby of the American Legion Post 268, Riviera Beach, Florida, DEPT.
to the Public Safety Department in recognition of outstanding
police work throughout the year. Mr. John Busby also presented
two checks, in the amount of $100.00 each, one to the Police
Division, which was accepted by Sgt. Capobianco, and one to
the Paramedics Division, which was accepted by Sgt. Watrous,
from the North Palm Beach Elks' Lodge No. 2069. These checlcs
were presented as a token of the appreciation from the Lodge for
services rendered by the Public Safety Department throughout the
year.
Mayor Marks, on behalf of the Ville, presented gifts to seven PRESENTATIOTd TO
of the top winners of the NPB-P$G Jaycees Superkids Special WIDII~RS OF NPB-
Event, which is a money raising event for a new program for the PBG SUPERKZDS
American Lung Association entitled "Students Teach Students." SPECIAL EVENT

Advisory Board held February 24, 1981 stand as prepared. MINUTES
The Minutes of Regular Meeting of Planning Comnission bald March
3, 1981 stand as corrected.

President Pro Tem Brawn moved that we authorize the Mayor to DRIVING RANGE
execute that certain agreement between the Village and Peter LEASE
Finlayson to lease the Driving Range at the North Palm Beach
Country Club. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Nolan
and passed 4-1, with Councilman Moore opposed.
President Pro Tem Brown ueved that we authorize the Mayor to FOOD & BEVERAGE
execute the Lease Agreement between the Village and Daxmer LEASE
Associates, Inc. to conduct food and beverage operations at
the North Palm Beach Country Club. The ubtion was seconded
by Councilwoman Nolan and all present voted aye.
Counci_]m~vi Moore moved that we authorize the Village Manager
to spend an amount not to exceed $1,960.00 from Accotmt No.
622-572-63.10 (Trees for First Tee) to install trees on
the first tee (at the North Palm Beach Country Club). The
mention was seconded by Vice Mayor Valente and passed 4-1, with
Councilwoman Nolan opposed.
Councilwoman Nolan moved that we confirm the appointment of
Sa11y Hart as Deputy Vi11ge Clerk. The motion was seconded
by Councilman Moore and all present voted aye.

There being no further business to comE before the Council,
ox1 motion of Vice Mayor Valente, seconded by President Pro
Teen Brown, all present voting aye, the meeting was adjourned
at 8:35 p.m.
